Traveling is something that most people do on a regular basis. You may be excited for your upcoming trip, or you may have just come back from one, but one thing you should always remember is that your passport and visa are important. In this article, we’ll discuss two types of travel visas – an Urgent Visa for Turkey and a Turkey Visa for US Citizens.
BACKGROUND
Turkey is a Member State of the European Union and has been an official candidate for membership since 2004. In March 2007, Turkey ratified the Schengen Agreement, which allows passport-free travel within most of the EU. The US is not a member of the European Union but does have a number of agreements with EU countries, including Turkey. As such, US citizens can visit Turkey without a visa and Turkish citizens can visit the US without a visa. Urgent Visa for Turkey
THERE ARE A FEW KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO VISA TYPES:
– US citizens must have a valid passport and proof of citizenship (such as a birth certificate or driver’s license) to visit Turkey. Turkish citizens do not need to have any documentation to visit the US.
-US visitors must stay in Turkey for 90 days. Turkish visitors are allowed to stay in the US for 30 days with no restrictions on travel outside of North America.
-US visitors must apply for a tourist visa before arriving in Turkey. Turkish visitors do not need to apply for any type of visa before traveling to the US.
WHAT IS AN URGENT VISA?
Urgent visas are for people who urgently need to enter the United States. They’re usually granted to people who have a reason such as a medical emergency or if they can’t wait for their regular visa to be processed. There are some exceptions to this, such as students who are studying in the US on a temporary student visa. Turkey Visa for US Citizens
The US Visa process is different than the Turkish visa process. In the US, you must apply through the embassy or consulate of your country of residence. You will need to provide proof of your relationship with someone in the US, such as an employment contract or lease agreement. The application fee is $140 and you may need to provide additional documents, such as your passport photos and certificate of vaccination against meningitis. The processing time for a Turkish visa is typically six weeks but can take up to 12 weeks depending on how busy the embassy or consulate is at that time.
